A small app that shows where your amigos are on a globe or map, what time it is for them, and whether they're likely to be on shift, asleep or free, based on the hours you set for them. Add your own location and hours and it suggests the best time to reach anyone.

ZoneAmigos doesn't connect to anyone's calendar or see whether they're online — statuses come only from the times you enter. New amigos start with 8:30am–5:30pm work hours and 9:30pm–6:30am sleep hours, and you can change these any time.

ZoneAmigos is free with up to 2 amigos. ZoneAmigos Pro is a one-time unlock — AUD$4.99 on the App Store (shown in your local currency there) or USD$3.49 on the web — never a subscription.

On iPhone and Mac (App Store) Pro adds unlimited amigos, reminders, import & export, and iCloud sync. One purchase covers every iPhone and Mac signed in to your Apple ID.

On the web (zoneamigos.app) Pro adds unlimited amigos, import & export and reminders. Browser reminders fire while a ZoneAmigos tab is open.

Pro is priced for the features listed. You'll get every improvement to them for free; brand-new features beyond that list may be offered separately.

If you're on Windows, Android, Linux or a Chromebook, use the web version at zoneamigos.app/app. It runs in any modern browser and can be added to your home screen or taskbar like an app.

Work mode colours everyone by their working hours and suggests meeting times. Personal mode uses their sleep hours instead and suggests catch-up times. Each mode keeps its own list of amigos.

No. Your amigos live in the browser you added them in. Use Export to save them to a file and Import to load them into another browser or device. Browser "profile sync" in Chrome or Edge doesn't copy website data, so export and import is the way to move them.

The iPhone and Mac apps can sync through your own iCloud account instead (Pro).

Yes. Export makes a small file; send it to another ZoneAmigos user and they can Import it. Import & export is part of Pro.

On your device. The App Store version can also keep a copy in your own iCloud account so your devices match. We run no servers and never see your amigos. The web version stores everything in your browser. See the privacy policy.

Paste your licence key into ZoneAmigos in that browser (Settings → ZoneAmigos Pro → Enter licence key). Each browser counts as one activation, and a key allows 5 activations. Your key is in your purchase email, and in Settings once activated, with a copy button.

Old browsers, reinstalls and cleared site data each leave an activation behind. You can free a slot from a browser you no longer need (Settings → ZoneAmigos Pro → Remove this browser). If that browser is gone, email support with the address you bought with and we'll clear it for you.

No. The App Store purchase and the web purchase are separate, because Apple requires purchases on its devices to go through the App Store. Pick the version you'll use most.

Yes, if the Mac is signed in to the same Apple ID. Open ZoneAmigos on the Mac, go to Settings → ZoneAmigos Pro → Restore purchase.

Set one on any amigo: when their shift is due to start or finish, based on the shift times you've set for them (ZoneAmigos assumes 8:30am to 5:30pm, and you can change this any time), with an optional lead time such as 15 minutes before — or at a time you pick on the timeline. Once, for a few days, or every day. If ZoneAmigos is the active window the reminder appears inside the app and waits for you to dismiss it; otherwise it arrives as a normal notification.

No. Browser reminders fire while ZoneAmigos is open in a tab — a pinned tab is fine. For reminders that work in the background, use the iPhone or Mac app.

On iPhone, Safari only allows notifications for sites added to the Home Screen.

Only reliably while ZoneAmigos is open in the browser. Android pauses background tabs to save battery, so when you switch to another app or lock the phone, reminders may not be delivered until you come back. This applies whether you use it in Chrome or add it to your Home Screen. On Windows and Mac, reminders keep working while the browser is open, even in a background tab.

In ZoneAmigos reminders are watched by the app itself. They can play a sound and you can edit or cancel them any time by tapping the bell or the three-dot symbol in the People panel, but they only fire while ZoneAmigos is open in a tab or as an installed web app — and on Android they can be missed once you switch away.

On my device adds an event with an alert to your own calendar, so your phone or computer delivers it even when ZoneAmigos is closed. On an iPhone or Mac it opens Apple Calendar, where you choose which calendar (including Google or Outlook accounts added to the device). On Android, Google saves the event to your Google account, so it shows in the phone's calendar; Samsung / other offers the file to a calendar app through the share sheet, or saves it to Downloads with steps to open it. Outlook opens Outlook on the web. After that the event is yours to manage: ZoneAmigos doesn't track it, and it won't move if your amigo's hours or daylight saving change later.

The Google and Outlook buttons open the calendar's website with the event filled in, so you need to be signed in to that calendar in the same browser ZoneAmigos is running in. Sign in once there and the hand-off is seamless from then on. If you also have the Google Calendar or Outlook app installed, the saved event syncs to it, and that app delivers the alert.

The calendar file option depends on your device’s own preferences: a Mac opens .ics files in whichever app is set as the default for them (usually Calendar), an iPhone offers a share sheet so you can choose, and some browsers open the file automatically while others save it to Downloads.

Android saves calendar files to Downloads without opening them, and the Google Calendar app can't import them. Web pages can't open the file for you. Open it from Chrome's download bar or ⋮ → Downloads (Samsung Internet: ☰ → Downloads, or My Files → Downloads) and choose your calendar — or use the Google button, which opens a ready-made event to save.

Yes, for In ZoneAmigos reminders: choose Bell, Chime or Pop (or Off) when you set the reminder. It plays with the alert inside the app, so you won't hear it if the device is on silent or muted. Notifications from your system, and calendar events, use your device's own alert sound.

Reminders use the system's notification style for ZoneAmigos — banner or alert. Check Notifications in System Settings (Mac) or the Settings app (iPhone) and make sure ZoneAmigos is allowed. On the Mac, Settings → Reminders in the app has a button that takes you straight there.

Nothing. There's no account, no analytics, and no server that holds your data. Location is used once, on your device, to find your nearest city — you can type a city instead. Read the full privacy policy.
