Privacy Policy

The short version: ZoneAmigos doesn't collect, store or transmit your personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no servers of ours. Everything you put into the app stays on your device, and optionally in your own iCloud account.

What the app stores, and where

ZoneAmigos keeps the amigos you add (a name, a city, a time zone and the hours you enter for them), your own location and hours, your reminders and your settings. This information is stored:

• On your device — in the app's private storage on iPhone and Mac, or in your browser's local storage for the web version.
• In your iCloud — only on iPhone and Mac, only if you turn on Sync with iCloud, and only in the iCloud Key-Value store tied to your own Apple ID. Apple's iCloud terms and privacy policy apply to that storage. We cannot see it.

We never receive a copy. Deleting the app, or clearing site data in your browser, removes everything.

Location

When you tap Use my location, the app asks your device for your position once, uses it on the device to pick the nearest city and time zone, and then discards it. Location is never sent anywhere. You can type a city instead and never grant location access.

Notifications

Reminders are scheduled and shown by the app on your device using the system's notification service (Notification Centre on Mac and iOS, or your browser's notifications). No notification passes through a server of ours.

Purchases

App Store: purchases of ZoneAmigos Pro are handled entirely by Apple. We receive no personal information about you from a purchase.

Web: purchases are handled by our payment partner, Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record. They collect what's needed to process the payment and issue your licence key, under their own privacy policy. The web app sends your licence key to Lemon Squeezy to check that it's valid; nothing else about you is sent.

Map data and fonts

The web version loads its map imagery and fonts from the website itself and from Google Fonts. Google may see your IP address when your browser fetches the font files, as with any website that uses Google Fonts. The iPhone and Mac apps bundle everything and make no network requests except for iCloud sync (if enabled) and App Store purchases.

Children

ZoneAmigos is not directed at children under 13 and collects no information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with an updated date.
